Interesting article in today's Telegraph. ...................
One would expect a right-wing paper to leap on any errors and promote them as another  plank of their ongoing 'do not listen to the experts' campaign. Another  bit of info the crazy 'what about the flu deaths' nutcases can  promote on the facebook echo-chamber.

Professor Carl Heneghan, director of the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine at the University of Oxford, said: "This is unacceptable.

Can anyone think why the self-declared leader of the 'Herd Immunity' solution would be contacted by a far-right newspaper to comment on their article?   Heneghan group ( Oxford COVID-19 Evidence Service,)is financed mainly by a right-wing benefactor with links to Trump and the Republican Party. He has his opinions on how we should react to the crisis but he and all those who think like him, are a minority.  Always follow the money to see the real reasons  behind the headlines.

There is a reason why Professor Carl Heneghan is described as a 'fringe expert' and has been forced to include this disclaimer at the end of all his Covid papers:

the article has not been peer-reviewed; it should not replace individual clinical judgement and the sources cited should be checked... The views are not a substitute for professional medical advice".
