SAB was up at Peterlee Magistrates Court today and he failed to show up. His Solicitor read out a pathetic list of excuses why he had to stay away-it seems he developed a 'cough' last night and so was concerned he might have the Lurgy. Turns out he need not have bothered because both the prosecution witnesses failed to show as well. SAB did not know that and he obviously was frightened and stayed at home. Because the prosecution witnesses failed to turn up his solicitor asked for the Assault charge to be discontinued and so it was. However he still faces a Criminal Damage charge because he damaged a Police Cell at Boro and that was adjourned to Nov 6th at Teesside. His Solicitor said that that might be reduced to a caution and that charge dropped as well. A Caution is only given to those who admit guilt so if he accepts it he is guilty of the offence.
I have no doubt he will be bragging he was 'found not guilty' but that is not the case.

PS
I hope all his Cafe customers are informed about his 'cough' and he self-isolates to protect them (muffled laughter).....................
