A councillor is an elected representative of their ward, not their political party!
Councils need communities but communities don't need councils
Party politics have no place in local goverment

surprised the leeches in the kremlin ain't doing something about it must be losing a few bob

There seems to be no will to hold Shane to account for anything. It is very noticable who leaps in to defend him  when anyone dares mention any of his mistakes on local social meeja. A thread on Mike Hill  will be full of  insults but try it with Shane and you get told insults are not allowed.

Simple solution - stay away from 'social meeja'....

If you want to tackle individual politicians, then write to them directly. You then have a clear record of the discourse that cannot be deleted or discounted.

Social media I find to be generally quite venomous, in all of it's formats. It's not really the place for discussing politics. It's more suited to people concerned with publicly airing dirty laundry.

I beg to differ. What you should do is you keep a copy of the 'interesting' conversations they have online (over the years) and then when they do the inevitable reverse ferret you can confront them with their duplicity. They will be guarded in the official record but often lose their temper/get drunk and slip  up online.  There is a good thread here from years back when Alan Clark (A former Labour councillor m'lud) was clearly posting whilst pis*ed and it was very revealing. It worked well for me over the years. .
You would be surprised how many people (not just politicians) say one thing when it applies to political opponents then  do a complete about-face when 'they' gain power and their party is the one abusing the system.   There is no shame in those who have found a cause and they will say and do anything when they are convinced 'they' are right.  Knickerless people doing handstands deserve everything they get!

Hand delivered? Recorded Delivery? Pigeon Post?

Seriously? You are are aware we live in the 21st century and have 'tinternet"?

Emails and other social media leave a electronic forensic trail which can be followed - good example coppinger.....

Many politicians , especially the local wannabes constantly shoot themselves in the foot on line....as the great MK1 (aka the Fence Sitter) mentioned all you need to do is take a screen shot ( try using Evernote.com), it is free, then wait for these buffoons to make a pigs ear of everything and back peddle.

Why not? What part of social and media is challenging you?

Like muppetry...lying......lunacy, especially on the part of the morons at the Kremlin?

Now where's that quill and parchment.........?

The Morons seemed to have gone but so have the normals.....
