Find it very strange businesses have been concerned with the past few months all closed etc, government gives them help and what happens, all the main footfall eating places in the town shut on a Monday.

furlough scheme?

Makes you wonder.
The Morons seemed to have gone but so have the normals.....

Some pf the smaller places were closed on a Monday long before the furlough scheme. Suppose it was their day off after the weekend - & that there was little demand on a Monday so not worth paying staff, anyway.

No such thing as a free lunch unless you are registered in a tax haven.

The £10 plus interest will be have to be paid back through the tax system.

Surely there are better ways to encourage the economy to get moving again.

If they were desperate they would be open surely.

I totally agree with this. It applies to all the handouts and payment breaks. The taxpayer will undoubtedly have to pay the piper
