Now why would he be pressing the flesh in Hartlepool ?
Not his constituency, not up for anything in the area etc.
....just showing up our poster holder ?

Good point. He's been all over the NE this week. I've a little (untested) theory about this.  If there's a GE in the offing (which seems almost inevitable) I can imagine the Conservatives hoping to take a few seats in Labour's northern heartlands/Leave voting areas - especially if Boris does manage to get Brexit sorted & Corbyn & co. continue to a) sit on the fence or b) opt to remain. Now what would be more natural than to send in a high profile MP as a charm initiative?

He was in The War Memorial at 15:30. 4 press people with him. Later I saw him going in the Cafe over the road from the Grange

I saw his brief but incomprehensible interview on SKY on the Fish Sands. Even the tide waited before coming in when it spotted him.

He's not a bad lad. He has integrity which is sadly lacking in Parliament at the moment.He was starting to have an affect in the prisons.
