HUFC helped Drumond so you never know.

Boris has decided that Parliament is supreme and no one  can deny us the ability to  make our own decisions. In order that we get the right result Boris is thus trying to find way he can avoid giving MPs a vote on the issue and is hoping he can either suspend Parliament or if that happens just ignore the will of Parliament and push through his insane carazy plan. It seems Parliament in only supreme when it is convenient!
I also note the true colours of some of the IU members is emerging. Some are openly campaigning for Farage.

If you thought Drummond would be a good leader then its not that much of a stretch for you to  to be fooled into seeing the rag-bag of fruitcakes in UKIP Mk.2 as a sensible choice.

At least Ann will not have to suffer the same fate as the last woman to unwisely stray within groping reach of serial philanderer Farage.

I suspect a kiss from Ann would see a role-reversal and Nigel with a the horrified reaction!

Perhaps Mike Hill should consider his position. The fruitcakes believe in direct action against all 'traitors'.  Lots of recent court cases featuring these   domestic terrorists.

A pro-Brexit former Royal Marine has been jailed for 24 weeks for threatening the remainer MP Heidi Allen online, including posting aerial images of her home on social media.

https://harrowonline.org/2019/08/05/harrow-brexiteer-jailed-after-sending-death-threats-to-mps/

In one message left for Mr Boles on January 13, Vidler said: "Nick Boles, if you f*** up Brexit we will cut your f***** throat. We know where you live and we know your f****** timetable and we ain't joking."   A voicemail from January 12, received by Philip Dumville, who worked for Mr Grieve, said: "Hello, Mr Grieve. We know your f***** timetable and we know where you f****** live, ok?" A voicemail for Mr Gardiner said: "No deal is the only deal and that will be the deal. We are leaving in March, when will you understand that? The only thing that is likely to be extended is your neck."

In text messages revealed by police, Vidler, who is a father of three, said politicians were "absolute scumbags"

Unemployed Kirkman sent a message to Heidi Allen, of the Independent Group, saying: 'Your days are f****** numbered b****.

'Will it be polonium or novichok? Either way you will never know, expect it soon.'

The court also heard he told Mr Lammy: 'Go back to the jungle n***** where you belong', while another said 'f*** off and die in the jungle'.

Self-styled 'yellow vest' James Goddard has avoided prison after being handed an eight week suspended sentence after calling Remain MP Anna Soubry a Nazi.

Goddard, 29, pleaded guilty to causing Ms Soubry harassment, alarm or distress during protests outside Parliament last Friday.

He also pleaded guilty to a racially aggravated public order offence against a police constable.

Leave or Remain, there have been threats from both factions (and no I don't condone any of them) the problem lies four square on politicians shoulders, the result of the democratic vote should have been carried out by parliament.

It didn't help that we had the worst prime minister in my lifetime driving 'the bus', the problem was further exacerbated by having a leaver as the opposition leader, the voting public have lost all confidence and respect in the political classes, is it any wonder nut case extremists have crawled out of the slime seeking to legitimise their political cause whatever it may be.

As far as I know no 'Remain' people had been sent to jail for threatening to kill those they disagree with.  Its a not threats from both factions but overwhelmingly terrorist threats (to kill) from overwhelmingly extreme no-deal disciples.

The arguments are over the way we leave. This is entirely proper. The problems arise  because some have come to believe they and they alone, have the unfettered right to impose  their extreme version of leave on everyone else. These people have no intention of compromising or paying any heed to counter-arguments. They are a cult.
The phrase 'Vox Populi Vox dei' is often used to legitimise the extremists argument but that just shows how ignorant they really are. Look up the original source  of the full quote and see that it is a warning against going with the mob:

And those people should not be listened to who keep saying the voice of the people is the voice of God, since the riotousness of the crowd is always very close to madness.

It is like the other UK exceptionalism  trope about Westminster being the 'Mother of all Parliaments'. The full quote is 'England is the mother of parliaments' and it does not mean that our Parliament begat all others.

They always say the last Prime Minister was 'the worst', Its a trite meaningless phrase. I look back now and I see Prime Ministers I hated (at the time) who I now realise were quite decent people. It takes years before a PMs place in history is established.  The assault on MPs is a tactic of the hard-right populist mob who want to gain power so they can become the political elite and impose their warped obscene ideology. Note how the local far-right have changed their name  to hide their agenda. They hope that calling yourself an 'Independent' can fool the voters long enough to get them voted in.  Don't you remember when the UKIP Councillors used to post here? They were  ill-educated,  laughably ill-informed and promoting crazy conspiracy theories as fact. Give me your average Labour/Liberal/Conservative MP any day over these far-right dingbats.

Articles in today's papers showing that the  Far-Right now pose a bigger threat than Islamic extremism

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7345433/More-half-anti-terror-pupils-far-Right-extremists.html

There were 490 cases discussed at Panel level from schools and colleges, of which 219, or 44 per cent, were for far-Right extremism and 183, or 37 per cent, were for Islamic ones.

The figures show that those troubled students who were then deradicalised through the bespoke Channel programme, totalled 165 for the year.

Of those provided Channel support, 91, or 55 per cent, were far-Right extremist students, and 57, or 34 per cent, were Islamic extremist cases. In 2016-17, Islamic extremism referrals in schools and colleges were higher than Right-wing ones, at 56 per cent compared with 32 per cent.

To know the future you only have to remember the past. This is  from 1979 but most of the promises would not seem out of place in a Boris Press Release.  'They' are still trying to solve most of the same problems nearly 40 years later:

Who is going to give me the spiel about this time it is different and we have a 'real' Leader in charge?

There is no fool like an old fool who has been fooled several times before and still allows himself to be hoodwinked by the latest (false) messiah,

I was referring to the threats from the various political factions, why would you assume anything else.

Lucy Lass-Tick

Surely any form of extremism carries dangers? Fanaticism of any form is usually unbalanced. Whether it be left or right wing, appertaining to religion A or religion B etc., those who can't/won't see the 'other side' as having a right to express themselves become a problem. Threats and violence solve nothing.

What a horrible, horrible little ogre (troll) is mk1.
Only the man that stated the EU didn't have plans for a 'European Army' (how wrong he was) could conflate threats of individuals on  MPs, to those of Islamist terrorists that kill and maim HUNDREDS of people in the UK.
I've yet to hear of a Brexit supporter threatening to drive his car and mow down innocent members of public, to 'support' his call.
Or take a machete to innocent people, to support his call for Brexit.
What a disgrace he is and really should not be allowed with his skewed views on these pages.
Maybe that is why so few comment on his nasty comments about people that don't follow HIS point of view. What a little dictator.

You (obviously) are confused. The comparison was done by the newspaper. The Daily Mail. The in-house rag of the  left-wing bleeding-heart Stalinist  Corbyn-adoring stooges?
Even your own backwoodsmen  recognise there is a problem.
Suck it up snowflake.

Is that because you is (sic) illiterate or because you have a blind-spot when thuggish right-wing terrorist fruitcakes lash out?
This is what you missed:

Maybe you think they  should not have been arrested until after they carried out their threats?   Would you support them appealing to the European Court  because their 'Yuman Rites'  (to Free Speech) were infringed?

The only MP murdered in recent times was killed by  a crazy (redundant word, obviously all Tommy groupies are crazy) Tommy Knobinson supporter

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/nov/23/thomas-mair-slow-burning-hatred-led-to-jo-cox-murder

and another of these deranged white nationalist scumbags did a bit more than threaten to drive his car and mow down innocent members of public he actually went out and did it:

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/feb/01/finsbury-park-london-mosque-van-attack-darren-osborne-makram-ali

"In recent weeks, he has become obsessed with Muslims, accusing them all of being rapists and being part of paedophile gangs," she said.
Osborne gorged on social media postings by the former EDL leader Tommy Robinson, as well as members of the far-right group Britain First.  Like much of the modern British far right, it rails against multiculturalism and Muslims.

As for the rest of your hackneyed screed, KMA.

Suggest that we cool it a bit. Some of the comments on here are getting very overheated.

grim reaper

Yes, Admin. There is no place on this site for people that have to use enlarged fonts and screaming colours to put over their argument.
Just look at the faces of those he used to indicate outright hatred, in the Robinson crowd photos.             Snarling teeth, wide open eyes, flared nostrils.  :o

That is exactly what I see when I read one of his posts. I see him snarling, saliva dripping from his jaw, with hatred and venom for anyone that does not follow his mantra of 'right wing' is poison, 'left wing' is good.
Admin, I believe my posts are succinct, cogent and, usually, non-flaming.
Nobody else on here reacts with such vehemence against other posters, only the man that must be obeyed.  ::)
That is why so few respond to his posts and why I too, refuse to have a dialogue with someone so 'unstable'.
The end.
