A quote from the Northern Echo by SAB.
"But being accused of delivering a leaflet for a Socialist Labour Party candidate is a step too far".
Where do you start?
Anyone purporting to be a politician would be aware that assisting a candidate from a rival Party standing against your own Party candidate during a pre election period is like sitting in a rubber dinghy in shark infested waters and deciding to find out just how sharp this new fangled Stanley knife is when it comes to slashing rubber.
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.

Something like this was bound to happen - they are so far removed from reality they think they are beyond reproach - if the misdemeanour had been against HBC he would have got away with it - looks like a case of picking the wrong fight

It's got the stage now where they transcend mere Party politics and have formed their own Party within a Party where their small group is above everything else, including the Party they supposedly belong to. The group is paramount, everything else is subservient.
Why else would some Councillors attend an event organised by a candidate fighting a seat against their own Party candidate a couple of weeks before an election?
It really does make no sense at all to me, a mere mortal.
In this instance, the Labour Party have my deepest sympathy, it must be like herding cats.
What can be asserted without proof,
