He looks like the runner up in a Teddy Boy look alike competition.

Well,, the first rendition of the Mail article clearly quoted SAB as saying he would be on BBC Look North, however this appears to have now been amended. I wish I'd screencapped it now.

Mammy Belcher is making her stand over Brexit........

SANDRA BELCHER (SOCIALIST LABOUR PARTY)

I have dedicated my working life to caring for the elderly and disabled. Being a carer is something that is part of you and shapes your value base.

Respect and dignity should always be at the forefront of what we do. This is why I am seeking re election as a Socialist Labour Councillor.

I care about people and want what is best for them and our area. I have lived in both Throston & Dyke House most of my life.

Having worked on Throston Estate and brought my family up on Dyke House, this gives me a strong connection and understanding of the area.

I have lost faith in the national Labour Party over its handling of Brexit. A large number of residents who I represent in the Jesmond ward voted to leave.

Mail quote:

Coun Akers-Belcher said he believes infighting within the local Labour party and issues at national level will cost the party votes and said three other Hartlepool Labour councillors are also considering quitting the party.

But he said his husband, Christopher Akers-Belcher is not quitting despite facing calls to stand down from the Constituency Labour Party unhappy at his leadership.

"He is staying where he is," said Stephen Akers-Belcher. "We are very different politically. He always jokes my views are more left."

I believe him................

2 attempts to cut his card

and Barclay put on his best work outfit on for the occasion.

He should have kept his donkey-jacket on because obviously it was a bit too 'nippy' for him!

Anyone ever seen SABs new jacket buttoned up? It looks to me as if it would be a struggle...............

His views are always left behind, mainly because the "man" is a prat of the highest order

Not too sure on the statement he issued...

As he's cut his ties with Labour, will SAB retain his place on committee's? After all, his Party only has one seat on the Council.

And will his demise encourage more 'transparency'  regarding the Rifty?

Inspector Knacker

After reading his rambling and repetitive political Last Will and Testament, I get the impression from it that the Labour Party is goose stepping around town in jackboots, polishing their paneers and organising an invasion of Poland.
Seriously, this is just a pathetic diatribe.
All these allegations have aroused my curiosity, because I can't recall any of these being raised before the de-selections.
Is English his first language?

i get the impression that all of it is just a publicity stunt along with the usual drivel ie im getting picked on again ;)
A councillor is an elected representative of their ward, not their political party!
Councils need communities but communities don't need councils
Party politics have no place in local goverment

Land Phil

Hard to believe he has left the party rather than the Labour Party throw the vain disreputable dishonest fantasist out.

The Labour Party accepted too much crap to have any credibility.

I'm inclined to agree, especially considering the timing
