House of Multi Occupancy (HMO)

Have landlords found a new way to make more money?

Planning application number H/2019/0051 is a change of category from a C4 to Sui generis in other words, from flats to bedsits sharing facilities such as kitchen, lounge and bathrooms.
Could this become what used to be called a doss house? Take a look and form your own opinion.

http://eforms.hartlepool.gov.uk:7777/portal    and enter the planning number H/2019/0051.

This is not the first such application in Hartlepool

Take note as it might be applied to a house near you.

Thanks. Wonder if we're looking at more student housing?

I had a HMO for a few years, i housed travelling engineers and hospital staff.

It didn't make money that's why i sold it, being a landlord is a pointless exercise if you want to make money.

Does the Rifty qualify as an HMO?
