Noticed this from the outset, the lights are like spotlights and a distraction when driving as they appear to be pointed in a series of angles and the beam can take you unawares and dazzle you.
Instead of your bog standard lamp standard they had to go god the Star Trek option and have it looking cool and futuristic.  Well, it isn't. It's expensive and useless. STOP wasting money on trendy street furniture and apply dome common sense. It's supposedly a Victorian street and they install something straight out of science fiction. I'm only pleased the Sistine Chapel isn't in Hartlepool, they'd paint the world famous ceiling in a more appealing shade after artex ing it.
