Well they did a chainsaw massacre in Church Street, so they must have got a taste for it.
Unless the trees are unsafe, just leave them alone. The aesthetic preferences are irrelevant. You get the distinct impression any 'improvement' involving this lot has to look different so the public can see an obvious difference, no matter how it looks.
