I attended an event this morning in Jarrow announcing the launch of the North East Fund basically 120 million of funds available to SME businesses and start ups to help them grow.

The first speaker was the leader of South Tyneside Council a very eloquent man who showed an understanding of business and the pressures upon local businesses. He also spoke of the work his team undertakes in actively encouraging businesses to look at South Tyneside as the benefits for the area are there for all to see............

Meanwhile in Hartlepool we through a function to celebrate replacing trees!!!!!!!

Inspector Knacker

Ask yourself one simple question and all will be revealed, would you employ any of these people?

Hartlepool not a chance.

The leader at South Tyneside definately, mind you would probably have to prise him away from his current job!

Inspector Knacker

A twist on a Groucho Marx comment... 'I would not join any club that would have them as a member'.

As a council tax payer I don't believe councillors should play any part whatsoever in the selection of Senior Officers......What qualifications do any of the LabTor Mob have, that would justify them being involved in the Employment of senior staff.......

We have in the past had a member of the selection committee, a councillor who would have difficulty in spelling 'Bob - Backwards'...... It would be a really good idea if the Peer Groups Review report was dusted off and re-read...only this time.... They should give serious considerations to the Recommendation therein.

Couldn't agree more. I'd love a list of their educational achievements and experience.
Is milk monitor a recognised qualification?

Seems like Newcastle will trump his dream.

Plans to build Europe's biggest observation wheel on the banks of the River Tyne in Newcastle have been revealed.

Dubbed the "Whey Aye", the 140-metre structure would be taller than the London Eye and feature a LED screen.

It would offer 30-minute "flights" and could accommodate more than 800,000 visitors in its first year.

World Wheel Company said it would be submitting a planning application later this year.

At least Newcastle did not slyly insert the NIRAMAX Logo into their artist's impression.

Perhaps he could get his partner to make another bogus complaint against Newcastle Council and try to delay it until ours is built??

Just noticed on the fantasists impression that the old navigation light tower must be on Viagra.

It will be interesting to see how the voting goes for the Chair of Neighbourhood Services, apart from the obvious Nepotism in the decision to oust Cllr Hunter which if rumours are to believed wasn't exactly unanimous......

The odds are that PHF and the Indies would support Dave Hunter and rightly so if he appears as a candidate.

The question is, how will the LabMob vote, will the vote be whipped if so, will any of them dare to defy The Dear Leader or will they collapse like a Redcar Deck Chair and Blindly raise their hands and continue to support the SCABAL. ?

The Hartlepool "vision" looks good, shiny new building our own bargain basement, 5-plane, pink arrows flying by on a daily basis, unicorns and possibly a matrix like horror spectacle of the town population looking like CAB c/w brown ill-fitting suits. Go big or go home he was heard to lisp. Council Leaders, not in a million years!

Definitely more ex London Zoo than the London School of Economics.

The issue was brought up by James Black who was quickly shot down by Cranney.  The Borough Solicitor then explained that as David Hunter's name was not on the list of nominees, for that position, a vote could not be taken - in other words it was sewn up well before it got to this meeting.

I could have sworn we live in a democratic society.....apparently not, well not under the LabMob anyway.

Basically they had a cosy chat amongst themselves and decided to ditch Cllr Dave Hunter in favour of the Boy in  Mans Body.  ::)

The predictions of change from within made by the £3 quid Corbynites have proven to be, as many of us suspected a load of B****x  :-X

Funny you should say that Fred - after last night's debacle I chanced upon a couple of Labour Activists.  They told me that plans were under way to replace the toxic element of the current Labour mob by deselecting them when they were up for re-election.  Now that obviously begs the question - how come MD stood in the Manor this time round?

But it got better - I was then told that Doc Pothole lives in Hartlepool during the week and returns to London at the weekend to bang a couple of shifts in, plus for all you non-believers out there he is not here to stand as the Town's MP.

So you you have it!!!!!!!
