UKIP have been gleefully predicting the EU will see a wave of looney right-wing politicians elected this year which proves 'they' are in the driving seat. Well the Austrian result is in and ................... ..The Greens took it from the Looney.

The newly elected 'white hope' of UKIP had predicted:

http://www.express.co.uk/news/world/664132/anti-migrant-candidate-Norbert-Hofer-shockwaves-Europe-wins-presidential-election-Austria

UKIP deputy leader Paul Nuttall said: “The Freedom Party has been doing extremely well for the last couple of years and they seem to have been able to cross the political divide in Austria and take votes not just from conservative areas but from socialist working class areas as well.

"They have been helped by the actions of the European Union which is more remote than ever before and they are an anti-EU party.

“But the real breakthrough has been the migrant crisis.

“The people of Austria are saying enough is enough and they are looking for an avenue to vent their spleen at the government.

“We are already seeing this in France with Marine Le Pen and the National Front and in Holland with Geert Wilders and this will be replicated across Europe.

“We are living in extreme times and people are looking for an avenue in which to turn and they are turning to parties like the Freedom Party in Austria.”

Not very savvy is our Paul!

In case any of you missed the UKIP howls of pain when their 'man' was trounced here is the considered opinion of Arron Banks who  said Austria chose not to elect a far-right President because it has not "suffered enough rape and murder yet".

This shows perfectly the vile evil face of UKIP that they are so desperately trying to keep hidden.

Unfortunately the alternatives are equally unappealing. Nationally we have Citizen Corbyn with his daft hat and politics lecturer style= labour party a rudderless ship getting blown all over the place apart from along a pre planned course line and Maggi 2 aka Theresa trying to negotiate a Brexit that she actually doesn't want to happen. Nationally we are just dead in the water. ( excuse the Nautical references - come from my background). We need a strong leader= there isn't one.

We all know what's happening at a local level a gang of lunatics have taken over and set up their own "bank" distributing funds as they see fit. The laughing stock of UK, probably the only glimmer of hope we have is the various independents- if they have the balls to say something or are not cornered and silence by the Cookey Monster, Cwistoper and their pet primate.

I agree MK1 UKIP are basically nasty, ill informed chancers, but I don't see anyone much better involved in national politics and with regards to the Kremlin I think in this day and age politics should be taken out of the equation and each ward should be seeking a "Management representative" who forms part of a town management team.

The problem with that concept is that we would need to find people who wished to do it , with management skills and probably pay them. Having said that the cost would probably be less than the funds gushing out of the Kremlin to looney scheme like cafes in cemeteries, MRA and now, some daft Allotment scheme.

It will never happen obviously, as too many people locally have their own interests  ( and bank accounts) at heart so all that can be hoped for is that a minority cause maximum discomfort for the Muppets, fuelled in some cases by the snippets of research published here, causing the Muppets to think twice before believing they can get away with anything.

The far-right immigrant/moslem hating loon in Holland is the latest victim of Europe's rejection of hatred.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-39287689

The far right had so  much  riding on the nutter and it now  seems Trump is not the leader of a wave but an aberration.

Still time....

France...
Germany...
Italy.....

And the favourite....Sweden.

Personally I couldn't care less as long as we leave Europe and control our borders....

#5
The bong-eyed Looney Fruitcake hater has lost the French  election. The extreme right has been decisively defeated again. Europe has rejected the haters. Trump was heralded as the first of a movement expected to sweep through Europe but the dream has evaporated.
Note how the  vile Farage reacted:

Nigel Farage sounded a dissonant note, saying: "Macron offers five more years of failure" and encouraging Ms Le Pen to "stick in there

Guess that's what makes us different, apart from over 50% of us being bong eyed loonies we had the sense to vote leave europe, control our borders and stop the federal state of europe taking us over.

Don't fret it could have beeen worse,we could have been french  ;)

The Tories are not 'far right'. UKIP are. They are dead. Just like the far right that you said earlier was going to sweep across Europe. Didn't happen. Loonies are back in the box. Care to make another prediction about them winning in Germany?

akarjl

So where does that leave us on June 8th? Yet another defaced ballot paper. It appears there are no viable choices?

UKIP past their sell by date- no real purpose now they succeeded in us voting for Brexit
Labour - basically student lefties who live in the 80's or career politicians milking the system
Tories - hated and mistrusted with no clear route ahead..
Libdem - AKA Let's Do the time warp-turn the clock back and not leave europe despite a majority voting for brexit
Independents - delusional local wannabes

Bong Eyed Raving Loony Party - Now there's an idea! ;)

Who will you be advocating leads the country? I can't not think of a party who can carry out the role.

Interesting you mention Germany- I'm in Bremen now- spoke to a few Germans today in the port, as we load a ship, all of whom declare Merkel finished- reason number one her moronic invitation to thousands of financial migrants to make their way to Germany aka the promised land- seriously anyone telling you it is not a major issue is either delusional, a liar or has not visited Germany recently.

It has come back and bit Merkel....they see a shortage of housing, benefits being reduced and migrants being provided with benefits and housing....oh yea I almost forgot terrorist attacks around the country....They tell me Germany is not a comfortable place to be and many are expecting things to get much worse.

Same tune all the time. You have been there, spoken to a few natives and gained insight that meant you knew (for example) Wild Geertie was going to sweep to power..........except he didn't!

Dutch government played a blinder by banning Turkish politicians from entering Netherlands a few days before elections who wanted to hold political rallies with turks who live in Netherlands. clever....resulted in electorate thinking ok they are not soft when it comes to bending over when accused of being islamophobic.....well that's according to Dutch crew here.

i guess you don't travel around europe much do you? As per my previous who do YOU suggest we vote for?

Is that the same crew who told you Wild Geertie was going to win?

Vote for whoever you want to vote for. What fault can you find with that advice?

akarjl

I am not the Messiah. I am just a naughty boy.

I do not fool myself that I have influence. Nor do I seek to influence others. I see myself as a pricker of balloons & ego. If you want to elevate yourself above me be aware I am going to point out your hairy ar** needs wiping.

Stuck in the backwater of Hartlepool, little Englanders like mki delude themselves by sticking their fingers in their ears and whistling the EU National Anthem whilst sticking in firm denial mode and refuse to accept the blindingly obvious.  They don't see (or simply don't want to see) the single biggest threat to our western civilisation for what it is!
We are at war! We are on the first steps of the end of our lifestyle as we know it if we don't :-
- recognise the threat
- accept that the threat is real
- be prepared to do something about it
- support whatever politician is open and honest about it and is prepared to do something about it.

Call me a bong-eyed racist as much as you want.....But for accuracy I'll admit to being  a bong-eyed anti-religionist. (Regardless of whatever illogical cult they choose to follow...they are all equally puerile, but some just happen to be marginally less of a threat to mankind than others)
Islam isn't a race, it's a culture that has at its heart a divinely inspired mantra of world domination (according to the ludicrous but toxic myths said to be given by revelation from their particular magic pixie in the sky. Aren't they all?)
Brexit was and is many things. A vote for regaining our sovereignty, detatchment from an unelected elite of corrupt Eurocrats, to allow U.K. to control of its own destiny, for economic flexibility..etc....but above all it was our last chance to at least try and stem the tidal wave of accepting into our midst the multitudes of those that seek to do us harm and who's every fibre of their warped, misogynistic, brutal, domineering religion is geared towards insidious infiltration and ultimate destruction of our way of life!!
So, back to local issues. June election. Vote for someone who genuinely supports Brexit....whatever party.

On a lighter note, I'm in Romania, close to Transylvania. And it's a full-moon. There aren't many wolves a-howling outside but nonetheless I started thinking about the SCABS / Crannible / RMW / Mad Dog et al and was wondering which of them would play an appropriate role - who gets your vote for playing:- the Count: Igor : Van Helsing : The Bride. Are the good people of Hartlepool ready to descend on the spooky castle in Westbrooke brandishing their mattocks and scythes?

Even lighter note - a quiz question. Winner gets the traditional prize of a bottle of Veuve Clicqot.
- what's the connection twixt a standing clowncillor and Ted Cassidy?
