On a personal level. Kipper does not strike me as your average 'hippy'. Me? I was ticking all the boxes in 1970's Long hair and a deep disdain for the new 'Glam Rock/Skinhead/bubble gum/Tony Blackburn scene. Fairport were firmly in the 'head' camp and for the life of me can not picture kipper at the Lacarno in Seaburn sitting cross-legged while Ian Anderson is cavorting around the stage. Surely this fondness to the tail-end of Flower Power is just an old mans rose-tinted view of a youth as he would have liked to have spent it?
I liken it to my original apathy for ABBA. Can't get enough of them now!
