HTH offers its readers the chance to write their own columns directly on the HTH website.

We don't mind from which part of the political spectrum you eminate and would prefer it if we had a range of views but your column doesn't have to be political at all. You can write about any subject you choose with the only restriction being that at least some of our visitors will find it interesting - one application, for example, has been to write a column on recommended country walks.

Our aim is to encourage interest and discussion so if your column does either then so much the better. We won't normally edit your column other than to keep it legal or perhaps to correct the odd spelling mistake.

To apply to become a columnist you will first need to register on the main HTH website (not the Forum) after which you'll find that an application form appears under the Write Your Column menu option. Complete and submit the form and we'll be in touch soon afterwards.

Once accepted and we've set up the various bits and pieces, a Create Your Own Article option will appear which gives you direct access to the HTH editor. This allows you to post your newly written articles directly onto the website. This may sound complicated but it really isn't - in fact, you can write your column in MS Word, if you like, and simply paste it into the editor.

There are no deadlines or other formal stuff to worry about; write new articles for your column whenever the mood takes you. We think you'll find it fun and rewarding and so encourage you to give it a go.
