I hold a season ticket for Pools but only go because my Grandson enjoys football, hence the reason why we will not be renewing our season tickets next season.

I admire those fans who support their team at away games especially when they make the effort to dress us as in the case of todays game.  I doubt there are many racists if any and I've never heard a racist comment ever in the ground.  I was therefore taken aback to read that 'Kick it out' has advised that Pools fans should not 'black up' as Bob Marley; http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32447466

Am I missing something?

I love the way the aborigines deal with it... a black fellah or a white fellah.

We have had our rights eroded by the do-gooders.
Remember what happened in America under prohibition?
So many deaths and hatred as a result of the church going politically correct who blathered on about the evils of drink.
Al Capone must have laughed his way to the bank: I'm surprised he didn't donate to the blessed organisations.
Remember the Black and white minstrels?
What harm was it doing
It smells of people trying to justify their jobs.
Thanks for the interesting thread
Good luck with Pools at Carlisle today

I can understand in the case of the B&W minstrels I thought it was in bad taste.  This is fans dressing up as Bob Marley he was black.

Yes. The fact that they are not being told they can not dress as Bob Marley. It simply is a request not to 'black-up'. Times change.

Would a orange spray tan be acceptable?  Like the industrial strength stuff Kilroy Silk uses.

This is a Hollywood musical scene with all black cast. Quite well done but the back of the womens bonnets  make me gasp.
