Title: Sea Views
Post by: mk1 on September 28, 2020, 06: PM
Was at Seaham on Saturday and the sea was really rough. The breaking waves were putting water over  lighthouse and there was a huge number people there despite the weather. The area facing the harbour was crowded and there were a lot of photographers  struggling to support the huge lenses that dwarfed the cameras. Now Seaham in not Hartlepool but was it the same over at the Headland?  The waves will have been just as impressive on The Heugh but sadly no parade  of Cafes, Coffee Shops and parking spaces  mere yards from the sea-front.

.....Probably because the area around the Heugh is a residential area and has historic attractions as opposed to Candy Floss and noisy food venues.

Seaham was a run down sxxxhole mining town with a small harbour that has reinvented itself because it was dying....and made a good job of it.

The Heugh area is a residential area with a lot of historic substantial properties....not suited to being converted into the Blackpool of the North.

Silly idea......Alt-x.......next?
