In the mail tonight an admittance of guilt from our council and our employment development officer -

Unemployment up from 7% to 7.7% in a year
Long term unemployed up from 2.6% to 4.5%
Youth unemployed up 1.1% to 15.9%, third highest rate in the country

However the good news is that the working population wages have increased (wonder what that means)

Oh and "we will be ready when the situation improves"
