Title: Another step closer !

At least in this case it doesnt affect decent residents of the town.

I just wonder what will be next ?

It does.
All the middle class jobs involved in the Courts are slowly going to transfer to Teesside.  Over time the people will decide to live nearer their work-place  and so we lose more of the people with sharp elbows.
I am sure Magistrates will be next to go.

Like the hospital, we are losing jobs, job moving out of town that when  up for recruitment, will be from around their new local area...... not from here anymore.

Just a thought.   This does impact on the decent residents of the town if some delinquent steals their property and pleads "not guilty". As a result, to add insult to  injury the witnesses ,including the property owner will have to attend a hearing at M'boro with all of the expense and inconvenience involved. Also valueable Police time will be spent by officers going to and from court and hanging around waiting to give their bit . Plus transport costs etc. I feel the matter has not been thought out by those that be.    This is just a simple example.

With all these moves to emasculate the town, you have to ask for whose benefit these moves are made......?
If they thought they could get away with it, they'd probably move the lifeboat to Stockton...it's only an hour hour to the sea......there could be letters to the Mail from Captain Haddock telling us all in a patronising way it was a marvellous move as the sea around Hartlepool was not fit for purpose......... and the delay reaching the sea wasn't a problem as the crew could practice hornpipes or something else of a nautical nature till they eventually arrived too late....oops...... but a full enquiry will be held and lessons learned etc etc etc...yawn.
