Petrol from fresh air...

Looks ok on paper, but in effect, what they are trying to do is take Carbon Dioxide (CO2), add water and some electrical energy from somewhere, recombine these to produce petrol. A chemical reaction can be written to illustrate this.

The CO2 and water could in fact be taken from a car exhaust!

As the process inevitably wastes energy during the process, it is not viable.

There is no such thing as a free lunch, no perpetual motion engine.

That is without considering maintenance costs, salaries, legislation, taxes etc etc.

The petrol produced will probably cost a small fortune per litre.
