Did anyone see this story yesterday in The Sun, Daily Mail and other 'papers'?

It's the usual anti-EU rubbish and tells about 1% of the actual strory behind what's going on and why the EU are 'helping to retrain banana growers'.
I won't bore you with all the details but lets just say the 'story' neglects to mention who the major trading partner of barbados and the ACP countries is. It aslo neglects to mention WHY the EU are helping to retrain the banana growers and in what respect the 'retraining' is having a POSITIVE impact on their lives and businesses.
The cost of the 'office' is £2 million per year? Farage was disgusted. So disgusted he 'forgot' to mention the £85 BILLION pounds of import and export trade that barbados and the ACP countries do with the EU every year. (And that figure doesn't even include South Africa).
You forgot to mention the £230 million in funding to help build hospitals and schools for the many in the region who live in poverty

The Sun is deeply racist/homophobic /'foriegners cause all out problems'/militaristic/ simplistic pro-establishment throwback that makes its living by spying on and then blackmailing all those who do not share its deeply offensive view of the world.
No sane person will admit to supporting that lot.
Newspapers do not reflect public opinion they are simply advertising boards for the owners other business interests/prejudice.
That is why you find The Star plugging all Dirty Desmonds TV Channels. why The Sun will never criticise a Sky TV progarame and why they all (with the Daily Mail) only ever print 'knocking 'BBC stories.
Thank you for the mention Perseus, maybe you might now mention the £53 million per day that membership of the E.U. is costing the British taxpayer. No doubt you will consider this money well spent. Fortunately an increasing number of people are questioning the cost of our membership of this rather expensive club.
Perseus, would you stay as a member of a club, paying higher subscriptions than any other member, bar one. Knowing that many of the members regularly break club rules. A club which only tolerates you because of your contributions and a club whose committeee is so incompetent, or dishonest , that they haven't had the accounts passed for 16 years. To add insult to injury the committee want to increase your subs. If you still want to be a member of such a club then I am afraid that your sanity must be questioned.
If the E.U. was a supermarket chain then half the branches would be closed due to trading at a loss.
