So it looks like DISC have aquired the old bakery and workers clearing the place out have told residents that it will become 4 self contained flats for recovering drug and alcohol addicts.  I know this to be the plan.

As Leader of the Council CAB will be aware of this proposal, if he is not he should not be leader of HBC.  The cat is out the bag and as I understand it residents are very concerned and have little faith that their Councillors will protect their community.

Land Phil

I understand Cranny is linked to this.

Would a kind contributor please explain how exactly.

I would like to collate the facts and submit them to Private Eye.

Thank You.

Brilliant idea on how to make money put these people into rented accommadation(ANDERSON OR WILLOWS ETC ) this boosts fiqures of rented property in area.Any trouble they or there friends get into in that area boosts the crime figures stop and search etc police must be more vigarous as the public have concerns about these people been in the area  and need to show they are active in nieghbourhood policing etc.so now we can class these area as needing Selective Licencing Scheme great £600 per private landlord but not andersons or willows These SLA areas need only be a few streets even better why not get a private company to run the scheme now who can you think of to run it someone who a director of many companies etc who is already active in the area.

Typical of The Mob..... sod the existing residents, just drag the area down to ensure thar it gets maximum social benefits.

Have the residents of Ashgrove & Haswell Aves been informed of this little plot to line the pockets of the Mob Members involved, not that they give a flying f**k about them of course.

Why don`t The Mob try a differnet approach, they keep banging the drum about Aspirations for working people, so why not include this social experiment in the plans for the Wineyard Development ??

The Great Dictator

I didn't know it had even closed down ?

In reply to Fred, residents are on the ball and busy getting organised.

LE............More power to the residents in trying to put a stop to this devious enterprise.
People in the town are really wising up to the distinctly unhealthy way Hartlepool is being run...... The comments by driddle re. former wealthy townspeople using their wealth to "Give something back to the town", as opposed to the shiesters that we have running the town now "Taking Something Out" was bang on the money.

The Eye will be running a full issue on Hartlepool the way things are shaping up.

Lots of people win! CA-B, SA-B, Cranny, Ainsley, Wells, etc, etc, all the councillors with their snouts in the trough......lol....

Inspector Knacker

The script goes as follows....... rose tinted vision of how it will be...anyone speaking out will be made to feel like the person who shot Bambi and made a pie....there'll be the ever popular 'presentations'  and 'consultations' and at the end of the day if they can't get the people to embrace their flawed utopian vision ...the suits will do what they were always going to do from the outset.
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.

Seriously, people, take a deep breath, step back and think before you get up close and personal with the keyboard.  Half of these posts make you look like prime candidates for one of the flats in Andersons.

It's not those people that are being helped by Disc that you should concern yourselves with, it's those that aren't, oh, and news flash, they are already living amongst you, but without the support of organisations like Disc then they are unlikely to have anyone supporting them to recover.

Lord Elpus

The issue is not whether DISC does a good job or not, the issue is the suitability of placing a four bed unit in this specific location.

There are also questions surrounding the choice of this location and who knew what and when about DISC's plans for treatment services in Hartlepool.

Land Phil

mythbuster ...Cranny being a serial failure, please bust that myth.

DISC being a social landlord in hartlepool can someone tell me where these properties are anddo they pay selective lincensing as normal landlords have to if there properties are in those areas andhow many of there properties are in those areas

Come clean DISC  as you are supposed to help disadvantaged how come you funding donation etc are used to buy property this is not your core business  hope no council donation grant or any other asssistance is granted by the council
