A neglected area of Teesside that has prompted complaints to the council is to get a £250,000 upgrade.

For years residents have been complaining about lack of maintenance around the rivers and canals in a privately-owned area of Teesdale. Now Stockton Council is to invest money in revamping the area and will taken over its future maintenances. The work replacing pavements and damaged trees, as well as installing new lighting, will take five months.

Well at least they're consistent. Apparently, Mandale show the same level of negligence on Teesdale as they have done on our own Marina for years. All we need now is for HBC to show some real interest in following Stockton's example by taking over responsibility for future maintenance - maybe then residents will get something in return for their council tax.
Diplomacy is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.
