Hhhmmm is it fake news or is there truth in it? Who knows? It's not for me to say. I have no dog in this fight.

I mean let's be honest, there could be a million reasons why an Irish A and E doctor working in London, who was on the shortlist for a Labour seat in Tooting, within a year decides he wants to be a councillor in a North Eastern fishing village. Maybe he's heard of Verrills and was so taken with their half lots he decided to up sticks and move here?

It's fake news people. Harry said so, and he's always right.

Harry and Allan being chummy. Somebody has changed their tune.
I don't believe it.

Whilst we are talking of 'fake news' there was a recent IPSO complaint where a News outlet complained that it was unfairly being called a 'Fake News' site. It was decided that the title was correct when describing their reporting.

This 'Fake News' site is called The Skwawkbox and only yesterday they were caught out publishing even more fake news.

They ran a defensive story on a London MP accused of using 'racist' language to describe a Tory opponent.

https://skwawkbox.org/2017/11/13/egg-on-politician-msm-faces-in-fawkes-based-attack-on-emma-d-c/

In their whitewash article the woman MP claimed she was just quoting the Tory MP and  thus was not being racist.

Turns out she was not quoting him and she made that claim up.
Today she is singing a different tune.

However, Jeremy Corbyn has said he will not withdraw the whip from the Kensington MP.

He said he would "obviously ensure that people discuss the use of language" and "make sure that everyone treats others with respect."

I wonder if he imparted that philosophy to his supporters in Artlepool......... although one of his biggest fans was'nt actually invited to the big bash

Allan Barclay is clearly an idiot if he thinks an address on the council website is proof positive

Along the same lines as somebody making an address in the council chamber

and we all know beck dropped one big style there  8)
A councillor is an elected representative of their ward, not their political party!
Councils need communities but communities don't need councils
Party politics have no place in local goverment

It also begs the question  - why is David Hunter's address shown as c/o Civic Centre? - I believe the Constitution states that Councillors should be residents of Hartlepool - though I do concede the word is should and not have to be

Answer to my query regarding Clr McLoughlins details.

Councillor McLoughlin has submitted his Register of Interests. However, as you mention, this information does not appear on the Council's website.

I am reliably informed that the situation is being addressed through our ICT personnel.

His ROI appear in the article but there is currently no link to the document on his councillor details on the HBC website as there is with all other councillors; his attendance is also inaccurate

Any member of the public can register as a member of the Hospital Trust. I believe Ged Hall is a member or was at one time.

If you sign up as a member you qualify for retail discounts:

The Register of Interest of Cllr McLoughlin should now be accessible on the Council's website.

Well it is on the councilors HBC page......... a tad remiss of him though, it has no signature
