FOUR cars were "extensively" damaged after being rammed by a stolen vehicle.
Police were called to Northgate, on Hartlepool's Headland, after a grey Vauxhall Vectra crashed into four parked cars.
A blue Citroen Xsara, a black 3 Series BMW, a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a red Astra van were severely damaged following the incident, which took place around 10.20pm on Sunday.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "We arrested a 22-year-old male for aggravated taking a vehicle without the owner's consent, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and driving with no insurance."
The suspect has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Crime is going down in Hartlepool everyone know's that! Well maybe? Monday 25th at 10.30am two males confronted each other one had a knife the other a two foot long machette screaming foul mouthed threats at each other.
A four x four vehicle was involved police arrested all concerned in Murray Street. I suppose this is drug related it all kicked off in Rodney Street.
When these low life druggies move on just where will they go to?.. Private Housing? or Holme Housing?
