I have oftern wondered that myself........ Apart from our do nowt MP, what is it that puts companies off from setting up in Hartlepool? We must be doing something wrong surely?

Simple.
Dyed in the wool rock solid Labour constituency.
Therefore..... Labour needn't bother, no need, the place is in the bag. All other parties realise we're a hopeless case without the brains to ever become anything else other than a drone constituency and can be safely ignored and forgotten about and discarded into the dustbin of lost opportunities.
