Toupee or not Toupee

This is definitely the question;

I want to post this as a new thread because I don't want it getting lost in a sea of others.

Only 6 days before Connected Care/Who Cares North East know if they have been awarded the next round of monies for this project.

If they don't get awarded it! Whoever does will have to toupee all the staff over, this poses a problem! All the Connected Care staff at the moment have MRA Contracts so in essence they work for MRA, so how can they toupee them across? Easy we will get new contracts drawn up, enter Peninsula! The big signing is this Friday, surely that would mean the staff have only been working for Connected Care from the date that they sign?

Am I wrong?

will they have to TUPE the staff though. if the contract is awarded to another company rather than a company taking over connected care then it may well have its own staff and mra/wcne would have to make their staff redundant

It's interesting how these labour councillors, Wilcox, Cranney, Akers-Belcher and Beck all seem to covert to the role of 'sweat shop proprietors' once they cross the divide into being employers. Their 'socialist principles' seem to go out of the door in the blink of an eye.

Reading the link to the discussion group on Peninsular, it's pretty clear that any true socialist wouldn't go anywhere near such a company and would spend most of their time fighting such organisations.

On a separate point, surely they would be crazy, after all that has happened, to give that third year contract to Who Cares(NE) or is this the 'deal' that has been done to get Wilcox to resign.

Aye, I think MK1 has already stated it would appear that a 'deal' has been done.

Wilcox gets to keep her job at MR/WCNE and her unlimited pay packet, for giving up her her council position and £5000 and odd pounds expenses that goes with it.

Even for someone as thick as she is its a no brainer.
To paraphrase David Cameron 'They really are all in this together' It makes you sick.

I hope voters remember whats been going with this council when it comes to the next local elections.

I'm not holding my breath though

You can take it as a given that the 2 fatties have told Wilcox they will continue her funding in order to keep her from dragging them down with her.
The believe they can ride out the storm this will cause and they have no other options. If Angie turns on them then they can kiss goodbye to their (delusional) dreams of higher office in the Labour Party.
It is all a farce but Angie is fooling herself if she thinks they wont grab the first chance to dump here. If she gets convicted of anything then they will renege on their deal and can dismiss her retaliation as the rantings of a thief and a liar.

Bit of advice Angie, tape them if you can and then you have them by the balls.............

Ohhhh I have no doubt Ms Wilcox will have a shed load of anecdotes concerning "The Dear Leader & His Consort" amongst others.
