This slip road and the one near the fire station are a pain in the neck, literally. Good riddance. Did Tesco actually pay for this junction....?

wasn't the cost split between Tesco/the council? Can anyone remember the plan to redo this roundabout 'in time for the tall ships' but they abandoned it because of some sewers or water course or something?

There was talk at one time of re-doing the slip road & making a better pedestrian access to Tesco..... from memory the cost was estimated to be around the £175,000 mark.

All that is needed is to make the roundabout the same as every other roundabout, stay in the left hand lane to turn left. Simples.

Don't you think it would be a good idea for every Cllr (&maybe officer) should have to put down a deposit of, say, £1000 of their own money for every new scheme they implement? If it works after a year they get their deposit back plus a bonus of £1000. If it doesn't work they forfeit their deposit.
