After yet another serious accident on the A689 between the  Lodge and Truro Drive this morning, (the second in a week), is it not time the council took a really long hard look at some traffic calming measures to stop the often dangerous and reckless driving on this stretch of road? The 40mph limit is a complete joke, ignored by at least 50% of drivers, and Truro drive traffic lights are like the start line at Santa Pod....Have the council forgot that this area is residential? It's only a matter of time before someone is going to be killed IMHO.

Do the buses stagecoach etc run independently or do they receive funding or are they contracted to provide the service from the Council to provide the service ?

Not sure whether this is a bad thing or a good one. Safety wise, I can see that live monitoring would be best. On the other hand, there seems to be a bit too much surveillance in society - Big Brother.
