any competition you have to pay to enter has to be bent
A councillor is an elected representative of their ward, not their political party!
Councils need communities but communities don't need councils
Party politics have no place in local goverment

The voting pool was small. You had to be one of the <2000 people who buy a Mail. For £200 you could bag 10% of the 'electorate'.

Bought the Mail today and you have to question its 'local' credentials. Feature on the competition at the Indoor Bowls club has photo's of the entrance to Mill House Leisure Centre.
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.

Google Street View does not go as far as the Bowls Club.

I was in Lamberts a while back and saw a  big pile of newspapers by the door. I expected them to be that Hartlepool 'Council Life' freebee but was amazed to see they were all Hartlepool Mails. I enquired and was told I could take as many as I liked . It was only when I got home I realised all the voting forms had been cut out of the papers.
Work it out for yourselves.
