I have just been to Morrisons and had to laugh at the state of the Police bike they have been given to place outside the shop to make it look like they have a bobby on site.
If this bluff is to work then at least make the bike look as if it could be ridden. This one had 2 bald tyres and the chain had rusted solid. So solid that the derailleur on the rear wheel was twisted out of shape.
Come on lads, raise your game and tidy up these dummy bikes.
I've noticed them too, outside various premises in the town. It does appear to me to be the same bike pushed from shop to shop.........
They are not fooling anyone especially people intent on shoplifting.
I saw a copper the other day and his trousers were ripped to the point his helmut was hanging out ;D
You would have got a clip round the ear for that in the olde days !

It is not worth nicking. The frame looks ok but the rest is scrap.
