So Ms May has chosen ANOTHER person to head up the child abuse inquiry, someone with links to someone alleged to have covered up vital information in the 70s.
First Butler-Schloss and now Fiona Woolf, a family friend of Leon Brittain & his wife.

Does the establishment REALLY want the investigation to proceed, or is there a method in their apparent obfuscation?  :-X

Can they dither and procrastinate until all of the 'characters' involved have died, just like Cyril Smith?  8)

Think we live in a safe democracy....................... :o

The establishment is there to help the helpless and move the goalposts.
The establishment don't care one penny about Joe Public, that's why we are given the mushroom treatment so much.
what happened to the boy who ted Heath was abusing on Morning Cloud?
Why did it sink?
Where is the poor boy now?
abuse is rife amongst the elitist public schools like Eton and St Pauls and would you believe it both schools are represented by the ministers... all of them went to either one!
The sooner this shower of corrupt perverted politicians are booted out the better it will be for the country and our children will be far safer too!

So the majority of the so-called 'hacking' journalists have had charges dropped. The only reason the 'establishment' brought the charges was because journalists were getting too close to the shenanigans in the 'establishment'.

The likes of Janner, Brittain, Smith and many, many others were being exposed for what they were, (allegedly) and the establishment closed ranks.
The excuse was a number of stories regarding low level 'celebrities' and the alleged hacking of victims of crime.
Nah, the reason the 'establishment' dropped on journalists was because they were getting too close to their sexual and financial peccadilloes!

Is it any wonder Saville and the corpulent Cyril Smith got away with their offences, when the 'establishment', from M15 to Chief constables put pressure on complainants to 'forget' offences?  :(

There is a bad smell coming from Hartlepool Civic Centre but an even bigger smell coming from the 'establishment' in this country.  >:(

I think not. The majority of journalists convicted (plus the ones that pleaded guilty. Why does nobody mention them?) comitted crimes. It is illegal to tap phones or pay public servants for information. The press behaved in an appalling manner and the fact the 'establishment' also behaves as such in no way excuses the muck-racking filth peddlers who run our newspapers. The papers are 90% owned by foriegn nationals who  pay little or no tax in the UK  and their only concern is to  protect their billions and generate  salacious headlines to increase  sales. I suspect that you may think it fine for the Sun to  vilify those you would describe as 'leftist' but how do you defend the  despicable Murdoch who invented (that means made up/lied by the way) an interview with Falklands hero Sgt Ian  Makay's widow for his rag?
They did exactly the same thing with Welsh Guardsman Simon Weston so the 'press' are flat out liars and inventors. They deserve everything that happened to them.
Do not forget the N.O.W. employed a Private Investigator who was a convicted criminal  (had served a 7 year sentence  and also fully aware he was the chief suspect in the axe murder of his partner) to follow Scotland Yard Detectives as they worked on active cases involving friends of the corrupt PI.

Murdoch spent millions subverting the system and blackmailing politicians in order to take over the UK newspaper and TV Industry and he was within a whisker of achieving it when Cameron removed Vince Cable from Office because he was known to oppose Murdochs scheme. A tame Tory was given Vince's job and was just going to grant Murdoch his dream when the hacking scandal broke. Thank god (or allah to please Kipper) we were saved from the man who was going to create a UK 'Fox News' order to further his deranged far-right world view.
