Inspector Knacker

Watching the good doctor on BBC local news the other night, he appeared relaxed, tanned and full of unctuous humility but had nothing to offer after the event. His little boy lost look was still firmly imprinted on his bewildered face.
His departure from the count in record time had more an air of blind panic at a time when he had a duty bound responsibility and common courtesy to thank his staff, volunteers and voters. I thought it self indulgent and surprisingly immature behaviour for a man of his age. It may well be disappointing and physically draining after a long night, but inexcusable, as every one else was in the same boat.
Which begs the question, if he ran away after that relatively innocuous embarrassment, how could he cope with far more pressing matters in office when faced with difficult scenarios?

I suspect in political terms the electorate chickens invited the Labour fox into the hen house only for the confident fox to find out the chickens had the farmers doberweillerpitbull staying with them for the week. Oh dear.
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.
