You are not allowed to name him but  be aware 'couple' does not mean a man and a woman. It could be a same sex union.
If you google 'National Enquirer' notice the cover of the latest US edition and the fact you can not view it  in the UK if you click on it.

The couple have  won the right to keep their identity secret and the very  next day The Daily Mail run a completely pointless story about Elton John and his partner.
I wonder why?

According to some USA web sites David Furnish, Elton John's partner likes to the company of other men as well as Elton.  One story relates to him in a childrens paddling pool full of olive oil enjoying a bath with a chum.

Come on chaps! Do we really want this celebrity tittle tattle on a forum that's headed 'Politics'?

From one pint of view, I think this does come under the banner of 'politics'. Think of the time and resources that have been ploughed into this grubby little episode and then compare it to something like the plight of the couple of dozen workers at the Response call centre who have been treated like s**t by their employer. A curt letter telling them that they were not only out of a job but would not be receiving any redundancy other than what they could arrange themselves from the Government scheme.

Their jobs were transferred to Wolverhampton overnight.

Apart from the initial news story, I haven't seen any other coverage in any of the papers and, as a result, Iain Wright has shown no interest either - no national bandwagon like BHS and the evil Philip Green or the plight of the British Steel Industry to jump on; just a couple of dozen of his own constituents who he clearly doesn't give a toss about.

While Celebs with money seem to have no problem utilising the British legal system, ordinary people who have had their lives turned upside down by an unscrupulous employer have effectively no access to the same legal system; neither are they of any great interest to the Press or the people who are supposed to represent them.

The need to stop such everyday imbalances in society surely comes under the banner of politics.
Diplomacy is the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip.

This is how the newpapers have a laugh at our expense. This is an 'in-joke' from today's Sunday Mirror.
