They are just IP now then ;-)

A statement from the lonesome Tom would be interesting to read.
I don't believe it.

you are of course joking  ;D
A councillor is an elected representative of their ward, not their political party!
Councils need communities but communities don't need councils
Party politics have no place in local goverment

Does that mean Tom is  now 'the Leader' of the Local Party?
A real 'One Man Band'!

So will they now form the Hartlepool Independence Party ? Calling for 'Texit' from Tees Valley, talking back control of our own affairs from Midflesbrough and spending the money we pay them on anything but 'Visions'?
Oops, we didn't get a referendum though.
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.

That would have meant joining another political party. I have no wish to join any other political party going forward.

Oh sorry fella don't worry I didn't take it that way anyway :p

It would be interesting to hear from Cllr Tom Hind, he's had loads of time to prepare a statement.

The whole thing just goes to show how complex the dynamics can become within any political group.

Does this mean we'll see no more UKIP candidates in Hartlepool election?

Maybe they'll bring in a doctor from the South....although a psychiatrist would be more appropriate!

Lord Elpus

Having listened to the world according to Tom Hind and George Springer I've long suspected that they are true dyed in the wool UKIPPERS.

Cllr Moore, Cllr Buchan and Cllr Flemming are in my opinion people who have jumped on the ukip band wagon for their own political ambition, I've never spoken to Cllr Tennant, but he strikes me as being a man I would not trust as far as I could throw.

I can't see Hind or Springer standing again.

I suspect Hartlepool Labour group are more worried about the demise of UKIP as it opens the field for other candidates.  Looks like Fens and Rossmere ward need a decent independent candidate come May
