Title: ofca closing another one bites the dust
Post by: jawsbbc on November 11, 2018, 04: PM
Some interesting rumours coming out of ofca, money missing,  motor vehicles that are none existent,  old age pensioners signed up as  trustees who had no idea they were trustees for ofca,  trustees asking to look at the  books for 2014 to present day and been told to look online,    and now all of a sudden it's closing. due to no funding ??   so another one of cranneys companies bite the dust
leaving a deprived area of hartlepool  without a community centre

Things haven't been the same at OFCA since the CEO and borough solicitor were made aware there's another organisation called Opportunities From Community Action (which also has the initials OFCA) which has Cranney's name attached to it. Funny that.

'There is a tide in the affair of men' and it looks like it's ebbing away to reveal the sands, rocks and secrets previousliously hidden by a flat sea.

If the 'new broom' intends to sweep clean, will they take an in depth look into OFCA, OFCA community farm, OFCA at Jutty Road ?

I expect any 'new broom' to bury the past quietly at midnight and talk of a new chapter in the towns' governance.
Any new broom can have no connections with the bristly high maintenance  gold plated, Jewel encrusted, dysfunctional old one.

My understanding is there is a LOT more to come out publicly about a local 'community organisation'. As a contributor of some 7 years+ on this forum, as well as an ex-elected member, my suggestion to admin is, respectfully, they lock this thread and allow no further public comments on this particular community group. The situation is likely to eventually involve agencies and organisations with reach beyond that of the remit of HBC. If such a situation does transpire, certain organisations could be left with a substantial amount of egg on their faces. Best step back and see what comes out in my opinion.
