What's up with it? I'm sorry to say muttering about it being rubbish are just that, rubbish. Your entire life is based on your memory as you only live of the moment and the moment is constantly in motion so without your memory you'd be unable to function.
There's nothing wrong at all looking back to recall happy and sad moments in your life and to sneer at such reflections is a sign of a frigid bah humbug life of misery. Everyone's life has happy moments, so to insinuate people are dumb as rocks because they have a different take on something that they enjoyed that doesn't comply with the thought police version is dumb as rocks.
