The political expediency that I was referring to is that the subject was brought up at the Headland Parish Council meeting on Tuesday. Jim Ainslie is the chairman and also a Labour candidate in the local elections. He invited his "colleagues" but none of the other candidates.

The Shadow

Headland Parish Council meetings are open to the public and are advertised outside on the noticeboard for ALL to see and attend. No doubt Jim let the other two socialists know about the meeting but there was nothing stopping any of the other candidates attending.

You are missing the point Shadow. The subject was only brought up on Tuesday and the meeting of people who had been affected was on the following day.

Straight Talking

Well if candidates were spending time campaigning that should be enough notice.
