When Mr Blackwood edited the Mail journalists actually did their jobs and investigated stories before printing and didn't just copy council press releases.
People such as myself who work in the public sector, could inform the public of how their tax money was being wasted via the letters page as he guaranteed anonymity. This is no longer the case and people quite rightly are to scared of losing their jobs to come forward.
Councillors, managers and journalists get away with half truths,wrong statistics and sometimes blatant lies because people have no local voice.
I do not agree with everything he says, people need to vote, but at least he allowed discussion and held people to account.

Vote. You get a politician. They are all the same.

After the next election you will have a government. That government, no matter it's composition, will be controlled by rich people. FACT.

Keep doing the same thing. Get the same results. We must destroy the current system in order to create a system that benefits WE THE PEOPLE. Simples.
