I certainly am not 'rankled' by 'the popular vote'! I am merely an observer in the US soap opera/ drama/ comedy that is being aired in the media at present! I merely mentioned Clinton in the same context as you mentioned Trump!  However, the vote in the UK, to leave the EU, is very interesting...and certainly rankles many people, yourself included!  I would venture to say, that if the vote went the other way, to remain in the EU, the remainers would still be jabbering, although in a gloating manner!  What is needed, methinks, is a concert, to bring all people together....a one that is against prejudice and hatred!  Cue the music
