Let battle Commence

The recently dumped local plan allowed for only a 150 homes extension to Middle Warren to prevent encroachment on Hart Village. If you read the Mail article, it's clear how quickly the developer has jumped on the opportunity now before it by more than tripling the number of planned homes and with no local plan now in place they'll probably get away with it. It's the start of the much predicted free-for-all and we're hearing of several more plans, some of which have been previously rejected, ready to surface in the New Year.

Incidentally, contrary to CAB's 6 months 'finger in the air' guess to produce a new local plan at little cost, it's now estimated that it will take 2-3 years (1¹/₂ at the very least) and that it will cost an additional £1m.
