What input do councillors have, if any, over the implementation of work by the authority? For example,  a local resident raises concerns over a large pot holes in a road .Can the councillor bring this to the authorities attention or can the councillor actually override  the authority and make them remedy the problem.? Just a thought.
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.

Councillors definitely have influence.
I know from mended lights that were repaired after a mention to the councillor.

I guess a large amount of work has no specific priority, one broken lamp is no more an urgent a case than another.
