By all accounts the Tall Ships is a SPECTULAR event, and ONLY HPool can do it as it should and MUST be done.  HPool should be extremely proud of what they actually do have, and what they achieve, compared to other, less fortunate, constituencies.  Seems to me HPool gets talked down, instead of being talked UP, and by HPool people. I would say to the naysayers, look again, and again, at what you DO have, and, what you have achieved.

the only thing spectacular was the amount of council tax payers money the bunch of buffoons managed to lose

Park and Ride is a way of life, and always has been, in some countries.  Its actually brilliant - Hop on, and Hop off.  What could be better, simpler, cheaper, and, environmentally friendly ? And a definte 'win' for the wallet.   A 'Win' all round...

Local Issues and Matters / KEEP TICE OUT OF HPOOL
Last post by tisme - February 08, 2023, 01: PM
Please, please keep the OPPORTUNIST Tice out of HPool.  You did it in 2019 and you can do it again - easily.  Tice doesnt know anything about HPool, its history or its people - and nor does he care.  He just wants to use HPool as a stepping stone into Parliament, to enrich himself, and, make useful (to him) contacts.  Dont give him that opportunity. Please...It would be so embarrassing for HPool !

Local Issues and Matters / THE INVISIBLE TORY MP...

Fat lot of good SHE is.  Spoke THREE times in the Chamber and one of those was her Maiden Speech.  Shocking ! And unacceptable ! Money for old rope.  But, WE have it in OUR hands - we give, and we can TAKE AWAY.  And taking away is the BEST feeling EVER ! Do it people - and feel good, satisfied ALL DAY.  Got to do it !

Johnson..?? In HPool..?? No way.  He wont leave London/Belgravia/Kensington/WMinster/The Palace and his wealthy City mates for a town 'up north'.  Its a lovely town, no getting away from that.  But nothing and nobody would entice me away from London if I lived there.  Please, please, people, dont cast ONE vote for Tice.  Send him on his way like last time.  It would be HELL having reporters from everywhere descending on the town and questioning people whilst they, with a smirk on their face, denigrated, sniggered at, laughed at HPool people.

Who knows? Time will tell. Oddly enough, a few months ago some media outlets were also suggesting that Johnson (should he remain in parliament) might stand in a red wall seat - and Hartlepool was mentioned as a possibility. Could be interesting.

Do HPool people really want their town to be the headlines for 24 hours, and on politics shows eg Politics NE/ Politics Live/Andrew Neil Show, as the ONLY constituency in the UK to elect an out of date kipper as their MP ?? Seriously...??...Well past his 'sell by date'..And no, we dont want an invisible Tory either !
