Title: How can May still be leading?
Post by: AndyHagon on January 17, 2019, 07: PM
In spite of everything (everything!) Theresa May still leads Jeremy Corbyn by 18% points on who would make the best Prime Minister according to YouGov, a 7% point increase since before Christmas:

▪ May 38%
▪ Corbyn 20%
▪ Not sure 38%

The Tories lead Labour on competence in seven areas too:

▪ +20% Defence and Security (34% Con, 14% Lab)
▪ +16% Law and Order (33% vs 17%)
▪ +15% Economy (33% vs 18%)
▪ +12% Brexit (24% vs 12%)
▪ +6% Immigration (24% vs 18%)
▪ +5% Tax (28% vs 23%)
▪ +1% Unemployment (27% vs26%)

Labour must be seen as incredibly incompetent by large sections of the electorate, given the shambolic Conservative Government.

If Corbyn achieves the GE he seems to so want so much (or does he?) doubt I'm the only one who would struggle to find someone to truly endorse & vote for.

Would not matter"who" was the figure head. Damned if they did, damned if they did not. To many with vested interests in other parts. Own bank balance the main concern. In my humble.
