The BBC has announced that they are to record an episode of Question Time in Durham City on Thursday, 16 January.

The topical debate show, presented by David Dimbleby, features guests from the worlds of politics and the media answering questions posed by the public, and programme makers are looking for audience members to participate.

Anyone interested in taking part can apply online for a place at www.bbc.co.uk/questiontime

The schedule for the evening is as follows:

18.00-19.00         Audience registration/collect questions
18.00                     Live play in to audience registration area:
18.00                                     - BBC 6.00pm News
18.30                                     - ITV 6.30pm News
19.00                                    - C4 7.00pm News
19.15-19.30            Participating audience seated
19.50                     Audience producer to pick questioners out of audience
20.10                     Panel seated and warm-up question
20.30                     Recording of Question Time
21.40                     Finish recording
