I'm always wary of organisations that feel the need to blow their own trumpet through their own spin departments. Surely the best accolade would be the one coming from the public after they start to actually see the benefits of an organisation's existence. As it stands, these quangos have a habit of claiming credit for anything good that has happened in the area without telling us whether those things would have happened anyway - which is often the case - and have you noticed how often claims now talk of 'securing' existing jobs rather than bringing in new ones.
