In all honesty can you see this guy getting 4 months in prison?

Dunno! It depends on the evidence and how the jury view the reliability of the witnesses/evidence.

Then if found guilty it depends on how the judge views the particular case etc, and what sentence he/she thinks appropriate.

It is noted that a similar case regarding Chris Hume has not yet been tried in court.

His position means he will be whacked hard if found guilty. The  flip side is well connected people like him end up in the luxury end of the open Prison sector. He will do his time will all the bent coppers in some half-way house cum overnight cell.
If he opens his mouth and implicates others they will make sure he stays at Durham or Holme house. Then he will get the sh*it kicked out of him and loose his fat belly  by the end of his sentence

Perverting the Course of Justice is an offence that is very much frowned upon by the judiciary & consequently attracts a sterner sentence.

If he is found guilty & gets sent down for a stretch, he won`t lack for visitors..... his fellow members of the CPA who gave him a vote of confidence can take turns in visiting him in Home House
