In The Mail tonight is the news that they plan on reducing the salary of the replacement for Dave Stubbs. Not many would argue with that but it spurned the following qupte from SAB, Chairman of the Appointments Panel:
"The panel felt that the salary reduction from the current figure of £130,000 was appropriate given the financial squeeze on the authority and the on-going efforts to make savings."
. . . and does that logic not apply to councillor allowances too?  - Labour are currently not only pushing for an increase in allowances but are salivating at the prospect of increased allowances for committee Chairs following the demise of the elected mayoral system.
Unfortunately, hypocrisy seems to be no problem for these people.

It wont be long before the Remuneration Panels report is due, so when "The Mob" decide, Who & How many chairs, deputy chairs, chair polishers etc etc etc they want, the true costs of their committee system will be there for all to see.

We can then compare it to the Pre-Election leaflet that was wafted around the town & see it for what it was, a complete pack of lies.
