The rumours about this man's behaviours were rife in Hartlepool for many years.

always knew he was "bent" never thought it was that way tho
A councillor is an elected representative of their ward, not their political party!
Councils need communities but communities don't need councils
Party politics have no place in local goverment

Known him for years but never heard a whisper about his sins. Knew he was 'bent' (as we said in those days) but  he never got any grief over it. He was a bit odd though and it can't have helped when they found his  decade-missing brother Kevin in a transit they dredged from the dock in a periodic clean-up.  Kevin was a very troubled individual indeed.

Steely Dan

First heard rumours over 35 years ago.

The Great Dictator

Wow, i didn't see that coming, i was expecting a 5 year stretch.

I was told 30 years ago about his behaviour at the Boys Brigade HQ.

He would never admit to being gay until his court appearance in the summer.

Uh?  30 years ago? When you were "told" did you report this to anyone- i.e the police /boys brigade / social services?

The Great Dictator

Boys Brigade probably did, it was Hartlepool's worst kept secret.

I reported a murder in Exeter 3 years ago and the police refused to acknowledge or investigate it so why bother  :-X

I know the police are pretty useless but they're not this bad. If you reported a murder I'd be pretty sure it would be investigated.

The Great Dictator

They invited me to report it to Missing Persons, i declined.

I have little faith in the police, i might have got the blame !

Inspector Knacker

You mean you reported your suspicions of a murder or witnessed a murder ?
What can be asserted without proof,
can be dismissed without proof.

Odd....the police ARE missing persons..you report missing persons to police.

The Great Dictator

As you know the police don't look for work.

Bollux if there was a sniff of a murder investigation they would see pounds signs - unlimited overtime.....if you had anything vaugley resembling evidence they would listened.

Steely Dan

Come on. I've got little time for the police but surely nobody thinks they've stopped them investigating murders. Was there a body?

I suspect he was referring to a game of Cluedo.....
