Title: End of the domes?
Post by: akarjl2 on June 28, 2020, 01: PM
Fans stopped this morning and large dome partially depressurised. Large rip at least 4 meters long in corner hidden from main road. Several smaller rips above doors.

A few " operators" running about all morning like headless chickens.

Considering previous owners financial management I would be amazed if they ever get repaired.

Stand by for a new housing estate?

Apparently Morton was stomping around domes yesterday afternoon accusing dog walkers of sabotaging domes......

Allegedly on Farce book someone has claimed they domes were slashed on Saturday night......how odd they were fully inflated when I got up on Sunday morning then pressure dropped and they started "panting" before wind took hold and ripped SW corner.

Wonder if they are insured?

He assured me in his terrier way, that he went to the beach to get some driftwood for his hobby of wood carving, which is unusual for a Lakeland/Patterdale cross. They usually take up photography.
Mind you he did mention a Psssssssssssing sound in the distance.

The cat's just taken exception - she reckons it's just 'not on' - feline equality, or what .

The young guy who is trying to set up a gym in the domes reckons people are sabotaging his attempts by messing about with the generators. Lets hope they smiled for the new CCTV cameras he had installed. ;D

Wonder if he has checked with clowncil- prior to lockdown he was blasting out music at 0600 across the estate....HBC were taking an interest- does he have a licence etc?

I cant see anyone messing about with generators ....the main generators haven't run for a while- I guess someone needs to pay the electricity bill? A few weeks back standalone diesel powered power packs arrived and were plumbed in......someone needs to keep them fuelled up......see a patern here?

Im no expert but if you look closely at the small dome there appears to be a flap loose well ABOVE the level someone could reach with a knife ( Someone was running around claiming domes had been slashed)...slow leak?..regular partial deflations, especially during periods of high winds must result in adverse wear/stress on material.

Badly managed and maintained.......will not last long.

In the time we've had him he's had several 'incidents' with small furry creatures and in the Lakes decided a fox chasing lambs had be persuaded to change his ways. However, he's never brought home a deflated dirigible.
Er, he's black and grey, not brown and somewhat larger. ;D

If you are referring to "Mr Motivator" who was screaming his lungs out over a speaker system at 0600 every morning I would be surprised if he's installed anything- he doesn't own the domes he's just renting the space, the domes staff told me ,prior to lockdown- and he made a right ar** of himself posting on FARCE book that Boris's lockdown instructions right at the start of lockdown were just advisory.......the domes management crapped themselves when the realised what he'd posted......

There are some screen shots kicking about of his numptness but having a life and not being MK1 I binned them.....

So he is not the brightest star under the dome?.........combined with dodgy operations and systems....my money is on the baby dome going the same route as mummy dome....deflated and then ripped.

You're getting there..... but a jet black body...a cross between a meerkat and an Ewok.
Quite a bit of Bedlington in that lovely hound you posted. Mind you, I'd need to see the shape of the head from a side perspective to be sure, lovely face though.

It is a Bedlington without the  sissy haircut. Every couple of weeks we have a fight. I try and comb him out and he tries to bite me when the knots get caught in the brush!

He  looks very different  short haired

Ours was sent to the groomers and lost his ginger beard, he looked completely different, but now it's growing back.
